OPAL | (October birthstone) A stone of protection, Opal is a marvelous shield to prevent absorbing negative thoughts and energies from other people. Just as it uses interference and diffraction to produce its colors, it can also create a barrier around challenging people or situations that may affect your mood or hurt your feelings. Opals are wonderful crystals for those in occupational roles, as they encourage humanitarian love and service, lightness, spontaneity, and dynamic creativity.
How to Care for Ethiopian Opals
- Keep your Ethiopian Opals away from water and liquids.
- Do not expose your Opals to extreme changes in temperature.
- Avoid contact with liquid chemicals around your Ethiopian Opals.
- Never use an ultrasonic cleaner or a steamer.
- Avoid engaging in manual labor while wearing your Opals. Opals may change color when wet, but they will return to their original color later. If your Opals have faded, you can place them on a windowsill under the sun for 15-30 minutes.

Size guide
How To Measure Ring Size With String, Paper & Ruler at home
Materials You’ll Need:
1. A piece of string, floss, or a strip of paper (about 6 inches long)
2. A ruler with millimeter markings (mm) for precise measurement
3. Pen or marker to mark the string or paper
Step-by-Step Guide
Method 1: Using a String
1. Wrap the String Around Your Finger: Take the string and wrap it around the base of the finger you want to measure. Make sure it’s snug but not too tight.
2. Mark the Meeting Point: Where the string meets itself around your finger, mark the spot with a pen or marker.
3. Measure the String: Lay the string flat and use a ruler to measure from the end to the marked point in millimeters.
4. Compare with a Ring Size Chart: Use our ring size chart to match your measurement with the corresponding ring size.
Method 2: Using a Strip of Paper
1. Cut a Thin Strip of Paper: Cut a strip of paper, about 1 cm wide and 6 inches long.
2. Wrap the Paper Around Your Finger: Similar to the string method, wrap the paper strip around the base of your finger, snugly.
3. Mark and Measure: Mark where the paper meets itself and then measure it with a ruler in millimeters.
4. Find Your Size on a Chart: Compare this measurement to a ring size chart.
Tips for Accurate Measurement
- Measure at the end of the day when your fingers are largest.
- Avoid measuring in cold temperatures, as fingers tend to shrink.
- If you’re between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.
With this guide, you should be able to find an accurate ring size at home easily!
